Learn how to request deletion of your SugarFlag (SugarFlag) account and data.
Delete Your Account
To delete your account from within the app, follow these steps:
- Open the SugarFlag app.
- Go to the Profile tab.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Confirm the deletion when prompted.
This will permanently delete your account and all associated data.
Delete Data Without Deleting Your Account
If you want to remove specific data but keep your account:
- You can delete individual scans from your scan history directly in the app.
- To request partial data deletion, email info@sugarflag.com with details of what you'd like removed.
Can't Access the App?
If you no longer have access to the app, you can still request account and data deletion:
- Email info@sugarflag.com with the email address associated with your account.
- We will process your request within 30 days.
What Gets Deleted
When your account is deleted, the following data is permanently removed:
- Account information (email, profile)
- Scan history and scan images
- Subscription metadata (the subscription itself is managed by Apple/Google)
- Local app data
What May Be Retained
In certain cases, limited data may be retained after account deletion:
- Data retained for up to 30 days for deletion workflows, backups, and fraud prevention.
- A hashed identifier derived from your email, used for abuse prevention (detecting repeated free-tier exploitation).
- Records required to be kept by law.
